Please read the instructions below carefully and don’t hesitate to ask your teachers if you have any questions.

⚠️ Important Information

For T-Level students (Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1): GCSE exams are not part of your course, but they do affect your timetable.

On GCSE exam days:

❌ There will be no morning classes

✅ You are required to attend afternoon classes

Catch Up Sessions - May Half Term

Important!

As you know, there is a range of work outstanding for first submission and resubmission (if unsure talk to your teachers and check ProMonitor).

Where you are behind, you are expected to attend college on Tuesday 26th May and Wednesday 27th May to work with your teachers on catching up on any missing work and completing resubmissions.

These sessions are important and will be closely monitored. Staff will be available to support you, but it is your responsibility to ensure all outstanding work is completed and submitted for marking.

Please make sure you attend and come prepared.

World Earth Day 2026 - 22nd April 2026

The TBCG Libraries and Learning Resource Centres are leading on World Earth Day that takes place on 22nd April, with activities continuing throughout the Year of Reading.

Culture and Belonging Day - 23rd April 2026

We’re excited to celebrate the diversity of our College community and warmly invite both staff and students to get involved.

Across our campuses, there will be music, food, dance, quizzes and a range of activities to create a vibrant, celebratory atmosphere.

Youth Voice Census

The Youth Voice Census is an annual UK-wide survey for young people aged 11–30, offering them the chance to share their views on life, work, and education.

It is completely anonymous, with no right or wrong answers, and the insights gathered help shape real changes that improve the experiences of young people.

By taking part, learners contribute to a national picture of the challenges and ambitions of their generation.

Student Union 2026/27 Elections

The Students’ Union elections take place from 27th – 29th April.

Nominations close on 27th March, and all applicants will be invited to a discussion about the role(s) they have applied for.

A short presentation of each candidate’s manifesto and message will be prepared and delivered during PPD sessions in the week commencing 20th April.

Voting links will go live on 27th April.

Student conference is here on the 5th March 2026 for the Computing and Science departments

Dear Students,

We are delighted to invite you to this year’s Students’ Conference, a special event designed to inspire, motivate, and prepare you for the future world of work.

Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to attend a wide range of talks and sessions delivered by industry professionals, business leaders, and academic lecturers. All sessions will focus on the theme of career readiness, adaptability, and developing the skills you need to succeed in a rapidly changing workplace.

Students from Science and Computing will have the freedom to choose their sessions throughout the day, allowing you to tailor your experience to your interests and career aspirations.

We look forward to seeing you there and hope you make the most of this exciting and enriching event.

Cisco Learn-a-thon

Introduction to Cyber Security (Free self-learning course)

Between January 12th and March 8th 2026, Cisco and Bedford College are running a free self-learning course for “Introduction to Cyber Security”.

This is in addition to the Cisco Enhancement we run within the department.

All of our students from L1–L6, apprentices, and adult learners on active courses have now received an email granting them access to the Cisco Cyber Security Learn-a-thon.
