Bedford College is proud to have participated in the Worldskills 2024 national competition in
website development and design.
The four-day national competition, held at Manchester Oldham College, featured four technical
modules covering diverse skills utilized in web design and website development.
Bedford College proudly celebrates Roan Price, who showcased exceptional talent and
dedication while representing us at the WorldSkills UK 2024 National Finals in the Website
Development category.
We also extend our warmest congratulations to Daniel Cobzariu, a former student who
continues to inspire us all with his incredible achievements. Daniel secured the Gold Medal
in this year's competition, adding to his impressive streak of success, which includes a
Silver Medal in 2023 and a Bronze Medal in 2022. His journey is a testament to persistence,
growth, and the exceptional skills fostered through our programs.
Well done to both Roan and Daniel for their outstanding contributions and for making Bedford
College shine on the national stage!
Congratulations to our students for reaching the top 8 finalists once again in the
WorldSkills UK 2023 competition for Website Development and IT Support Technician. Daniel
Cobzariu and Roan Price competed against the best web developers in the UK, while Tom Hickey
faced the top candidates in IT Support.
In a very tight competition, all of them performed exceptionally well. Daniel earned a
well-deserved Silver medal. Roan impressed the judges with his outstanding skills at such a
young age, and Tom demonstrated his talent and perseverance, both successfully completing
all
tasks.
This year was marked by new experiences and outstanding achievements.
We are
especially proud of James Mckay and Daniel Cobzariu, who were among the top
eight web
developers to reach the National Finals of the WorldSkills UK 2022 competition
in Web Design
& Development.
We are even more thrilled that Daniel Cobzariu won the Bronze medal, securing
3rd place in
the competition. Additionally, James impressed the judges and earned the
opportunity to
represent the country in the International WorldSkills competition in 2024.
